The luxurious Le Meridien Ile Maurice is located on the sheltered bay of Pointe aux Piments, on the northwest coast of Mauritius. Typical concrete blocks of rooms, accented by tropical gardens, are surrounded by the large pool and various restaurants and bars. The property is situated on a long stretch of beach with calm waters for swimming. The Asian-inspired lobby is large in size and decorated with dark furnishings and wood. At the lobby bar, there is plenty of room to sit and relax over a drink and the main restaurant is adjacent to the bar.

The 265 guestrooms have contemporary decor in red, burgundy and white with dark mahogany furniture and French windows leading to patios. All rooms offer a separate seating area as well as a terrace or balcony overlooking the sea.

The hotel's spacious deluxe rooms are located in the main building of the hotel and are 50 sq. m. in size. Offering views over the hotel's tropical garden, which leads to the beach and the Indian Ocean, all rooms feature a separate seating area, a king-sized double bed or two queen-sized beds, tea and coffee making facilities, a bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, a 42-inch plasma TV, a minibar, an iron and ironing board, and an in-room safe.

The resort offers guests a choice of three restaurants, featuring international, Mauritian, seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. The beach restaurant serves an a la carte lunch and dinner in a casual setting overlooking the Indian Ocean. The third restaurant, located towards the end of the resort, offers a Mediterrean-inspired menu for dinner complimented by a specially selected wine list.

The Penguin Children's Club offers supervised activities for children aged four to twelve including games, videos, beach activities and picnics.
